Napoli eyeing Galeno to replace Kvaratskhelia

Napoli are ready to move for Porto winger Galeno in this transfer window if they lose Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Kvaratskhelia has been linked with a move away from the club in every transfer window since he impressed for Napoli, who won the 2022/23 Serie A title and have continued to do so to this day.

After two and a half seasons in Italy, Kvaratskhelia has been holding up negotiations to renew his contract and Napoli want to take advantage of this market to make a significant cash injection.

This Friday, Sky spoke of a deal worth around 75 million euros, which could also include Slovak centre-back Milan Skriniar. With no room at PSG, the defender could be transfer by PSG to Antonio Conte’s squad.

Napoli are already looking for a successor to Kvaratskhelia, and Wanderson Galeno has been mention by journalist Gianluca DiMarzio.

Portuguese outlet A Bola reports that if Napoli do end up selling the Georgian winger this month, they will instead sign Porto’s Brazilian winger Galeno, having previously been link with Liverpool’s Federico Chiesa and Lille’s Edon Zegrova.

Galeno has been playing for Porto since 2021 from Braga, making 144 appearances, scoring 45 goals and providing 24 assists. 

Last summer, the 27-year-old left-winger was close to joining Saudi Arabia side Al-Ittihad, but the deal fell through.
